Mr. Nikiforakis is member of the Boards of Directors of the Group in Greece and Romania and serves as the General Manager of Finance, Strategic Planning & MIS (CFO), since 2008.

Mr. Nikiforakis started his insurance career in 1996 as an actuarial analyst in AGF KOSMOS Insurance and subsequently, through a take-over and merger, in Allianz Group Greece. While with Allianz Group, Vassilis reached the role of Technical Manager for Life & Health – Property & Casualty business. His responsibilities involved business planning, product development, reinsurance, actuarial models for pricing and reserving, risk management as well as the implementation of value function steering tools (i.e embedded values, asset/liability management etc.).

Mr. Nikiforakis holds a Master of Science degree in Actuarial science from City University in London, and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Actuarial Science from the University of Piraeus in Greece. He has also been a member of international knowledge management expert teams and has been accredited as “Black Belt” expert in Operational Excellence (Six Sigma methodology) for Quality Management & Strategic Change Management.
